We are proud of our 94% program expense percentage. This means 94% of our total expenditures are directly related to our mission statement while the remaining 6% covers overhead and administrative expenses.

Our Impact

Chrysalis is a residential girl’s home that seeks to provide a safe, nurturing family environment to girls who are in need of therapeutic foster care between the ages of ten to eighteen. The program offers trained specialists to assist the girls in their journey back to physical and emotional health. Up to fourteen girls can reside at our facility at any given time, and the program has helped hundreds of girls since it was first opened in 1988. Most of the girls are from the Wiregrass area, but we receive referrals from all over the state of Alabama. Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Our Programs

Chrysalis utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches, and Certified Trauma Therapists help clients develop the cognitive and behavioral skills required to become happy and healthy. This system is flexible enough to allow the development of individual plans of care, yet structured enough to define the parameters within which each girl is expected to function.

“My life could’ve looked much different today had I not been there (Chrysalis) then. They took me out of somewhere I couldn’t stay anymore and they treated me right. Even when I was hard to love. This was the light at the end of the tunnel.” -Nichole
